Once your dog has reached 5 months old, it is now the perfect time to start thinking about undertaking more in-depth training and Group Training is the perfect place to start.
One of the best things about a Group Training environment is that you have the opportunity to meet other dog owners, share stories and most importantly support each other during the training process. You will be able to watch the other group members as they work with your trainer andtheir own dogs which is a great way to learn.
During group training, although you will be in a group setting, you will also receive one-on-one guidance. Your highly skilled trainer will give you the tools you need to train your dog using proven techniques and will be able to answer any questions you have along the way.
Your dog will learn ‘controlled walking’ which essentially means walking alongside you, on lead, without pulling. This is a common struggle dog owners have and often leads to less walks because owners become frustrated with constantly having the lead pulled.
During Group Training you will also learn about recall techniques which are one of the most basic yet important skills for your dog to learn. Recalling means calling for your dog and he/she coming to you. Although it sounds simple, often times this skill is not properly taught and in situations where your dog is off lead, being able to recall him/her can be a lifesaving skill.
You and your dog will also learn other skills such as basic obedience, handling skills, equipment advice, interactive games and social interaction.
Come along and learn proven behavioural skills with our experienced trainers. Our Group Training classes are available in Sydney and Adelaide.
